US president-elect, Donald Trump appoints Elon Musk to lead department of Government efficiency
US President-elect, Donald Trump has appointed tech billionaire Elon Musk and conservative activist Vivek Ramaswamy to head up a new Department of Government Efficiency.
Trump said in a statement that the department will help “dismantle Government Bureaucracy” and slash excess regulations.
Reacting to the appointment, Musk wrote: “All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency. Anytime the public thinks we are cutting something important or not cutting something wasteful, just let us know! We will also have a leaderboard for most insanely dumb spending of your tax dollars. This will be both extremely tragic and extremely entertaining.
“Either we get government efficient or America goes bankrupt. That’s what it comes down to. Wish I were wrong, but it’s true,” another Tuesday post reads.
